Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has been named the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month for November.

The Whites picked up 13 points from five games in November as they strung together some good results after a tough start to life in League Two.

That all came to an abrupt halt with the 6-3 defeat at home to Port Vale in the first game of December with all eyes on hitting back at Walsall on Saturday.

Evatt said: “We had some great results and performances in November and the award reflects that.

“We need to build on that momentum and continue improving.

“I’ve got a great staff alongside me and this award recognises their contribution just as much as mine.”

Sky Sports’ EFL pundit Don Goodman, part of the judging panel, said: “Prayers were answered in November, as it was vital to turn the tide after an unexpectedly poor start to the campaign. Ian Evatt deserves a lot of credit for turning the ship around during a difficult period.

“A run of five unbeaten games was the perfect tonic and the 13 points collected has left the outlook looking much rosier.”

Goalkeeper Matt Gilks was nominated for the player prize which was won by Colchester’s Jevani Brown.
