Wanderers’ game at Mansfield Town has been postponed because of a frozen pitch.

The sides were due to meet at the One Call Stadium tonight (7pm) but the game will now need to be re-arranged.

A date for that will be announced in due course.

Wanderers say that all iFollow match passes bought for tonight’s game will be valid for the new date.

The postponement means Wanderers will next be in league action when they host Leyton Orient on Saturday at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers have six matches next month, with midweek games on February 9 and February 23 at home to Morecambe and Scunthorpe United respectively, with Mansfield having just one scheduled midweek date on February 23, offering the prospect of a quick re-arrangement of this fixture.

The two teams are currently separated by four points, and four places, in the League Two standings with 24 matches played. The reverse fixture in November ended all square courtesy of a last minute Antoni Sarcevic goal.

There were 10 scheduled League Two fixtures tonight, but as well as Wanderers’ trip to Mansfield having been called off, so too has Carlisle United’s game at Newport County, that being down to a waterlogged pitch at Rodney Parade.
