WANDERERS full-back Jak Hickman has joined King’s Lynn Town on loan.

The 22-year-old has moved to the National League side having not been registered on Bolton’s EFL squad list at the end of the January transfer window.

The former Coventry man has made seven appearances for the Whites but has not featured since scoring his first goal for the club in the Papa John’s Trophy win against Newcastle United’s youngsters in November.

Hickman will be tasked with helping his new club stay in the top tier of non-league, The Linnets currently one place and three points above the relegation zone in 20th.

The Norfolk club's director of football Rob Back said: “The club wishes to place on record its thanks to Bolton Wanderers Football Club and Jak’s agent, Max Hassell, in getting the paperwork completed so quickly for the player to come to King’s Lynn Town Football Club.”

Hickman joins a growing contingent of Wanderers out on loan.

Liam Gordon, at Dagenham, and Muhammadu Faal, with Barnet, are also in the National League while Jamie Mascoll, another player not registered by Bolton for the second-half of the season, has joined Waterford in the League of Ireland.

Ali Crawford was also allowed to link up with Keith Hill at League Two rivals Tranmere in January.
