WANDERERS are rewarding supporters who dug deep during the pandemic by offering discounted season tickets at the UniBol in 2021/22.

Around 8,000 fans stand to benefit from the club’s offer to reduce next season’s prices by 10 per cent for all seats purchased before the June 7 deadline.

Those who take advantage of the offer could – if things go according to plan for Ian Evatt’s men on Saturday at Crawley – be paying less money for their season ticket in League One than they did in League Two.

Only fans who purchased a season ticket for 2020/21 are able to pay again, for now, as the club wait for government advice on stadium capacity levels from June onwards.

Wanderers chairman, Sharon Brittan, hopes that the prices will reward those who bought season tickets last season without knowing if the Covid-19 regulations would allow them to watch a game.

“Your loyal support for the club this season during what has been the most challenging period in society for generations has been exceptional,” she said in a club statement.

“It has exemplified and reinforced just what makes our football club so special and why I wanted to become involved and be a part of the Bolton family.

“Therefore, it is only right and proper that Bolton Wanderers season ticket holders who stood by the club during these uncertain times are rewarded for your loyalty.

“On behalf of the board, I am delighted that we are able to offer your season tickets at a lower price than you paid last season if you renew during the early purchase period.

“Our focus is to have you all back safely at the University of Bolton Stadium next season and we cannot wait to welcome you home.

“You are integral to our journey and we want you to take every step with us to get behind Ian and the boys for what will be an exciting era.”

Today marks 430 days since the last home game with supporters, a 0-0 draw against Accrington Stanley on February 29, 2020, in League One. By the time the 2021/22 campaign begins on August 7 it will have been 75 weeks.

Ian Evatt, who has yet to take charge of a game with Bolton fans officially present, hopes as many people as possible will renew and give him the best shot at success next season.

“When I was given this huge opportunity to manage Bolton Wanderers last summer I knew right away just how important our fans were,” he said.

”It has been a great shame that none of you have been able to watch us in person but myself and the lads have felt your support every step of the way.

“I really cannot wait for next season to begin so we can experience a passionate University of Bolton Stadium in full voice and share the emotions with you our most loyal supporters.

“By renewing your season ticket you are helping us to strengthen the playing squad.”

Lifeline members continue to qualify for a five per cent discount on their season ticket price and existing season ticket holders are reminded that seats will NOT be automatically renewed on Direct Debit.

Fans can renew their season ticket online by visiting www.eticketing.co.uk/BWFC – by telephone on 01204 328 888 or in person at Bolton Central.
