WANDERERS fans have given their verdict after Harry Brockbank sealed a new two-year deal with the club.

The Bolton-born-and-raised defender was delighted to pen a new contract in a season where injuries restricted him to just 19 appearances.

Despite his absences the 22-year-old still earned a regular spot in Ian Evatt’s squad and he is now looking forward to life back in League One.

“I’m absolutely buzzing,” he said. “Hopefully now we can push on into next season, put all our focus into League One and get another promotion.

“It was a very up and down season for me, personally, because at the start I was nowhere near the team and then got in, did well, picked up an injury. I got back in again then got another injury.

“It was very up and down – but it’s the best feeling in the world to put on this shirt.

“I’m thankful to the gaffer for putting his trust in me. I didn’t get the amount of game time I’d probably have liked to because of my injuries but overall, when I do play and train, I always gave my all, so I am pleased it was noticed.”

Bolton fans reacted to the news of Brockbank’s deal with positivity – happy to see a player who has been with the club since the age of seven secured.

Brockbank also got the thumbs up from team-mates on social media.
