WANDERERS kicked off their League One season with a thrilling 3-3 draw against MK Dons at the UniBol.
Alex Baptiste scored a dramatic late equaliser for the Whites, with Josh Sheehan and Amadou Bakayoko also on target.
It was the first time Wanderers had played a competitive fixture in front of fans since March 2020, with more than 16,000 supporters in attendance at the UniBol.
Here's what fans had to say about the game.
Sheehan is quality!

It may not have been 3 points and work to do in defence but they look like scoring plenty - and they worked hard til the end in atrocious conditions

Johnston apart from the bad touch for the first looks class, Sheehan has a great engine! Deserved more than a point

It isn’t gonna be dull! Sheehan looks class. And it was great to see new signings involved in the goals with assists and strikes. Feeling very optimistic.

Sheehan class, Baka class, Gilks showing his age, Baps not showing his age, love this team

Just glad we didn’t just get defensive and actually fought back

Sheehan and Mj is gonna be a quality midfield two, thought Gilks struggled wether that’s fitness or another season may just be too much for him but thought it was odd to start him

I was thoroughly impressed with what I saw. Put Santos into that back line and we would be even stronger. Very impressed with Sarcevic today driving the lads till the very end.our errors today will be put right so no real concerns or negatives other than the referees performance

I think I had an out of body experience with that last minute equaliser, Sheehan is unbelievable to watch, Bakayoko seemed better through the middle, and Gilks should have done better for the goals

Thought Dapo worked hard especially in the first half, Sheehan looked good apart from one crappy corner, Baka was a handful. All in all an encouraging start providing we can get rid of the individual errors. Oh and the ref was rubbish.
