WANDERERS (4-2-3-1).

MATT GILKS…7.

Good to have that constant commentary booming out around the UniBol again, and Gilks was brave when he needed to be.

HARRY BROCKBANK…8.

Two assists in an energetic shift up and down the right flank which keeps the pressure on Gethin Jones in the starting line-up.

WILL AIMSON…7.

Slowed a little for the last 15 minutes, allowing Liverpool a bit more space to operate, but was otherwise very tidy in his first appearance for the club.

ALEX BAPTISTE…7.

Just makes life easier for anyone playing alongside him. A relatively comfortable night for Baptiste until the bitter end.

LIAM GORDON…7.5.

Like Brockbank, kept himself in the manager’s thoughts with a hard-working display up and down the left. Looks to be gaining trust all around the pitch.

GEORGE THOMASON…7.5.

Came into his own in the second half when he started to spray passes around with pleasing regularity. Showed he is well beyond reserve level.

BRANDON COMLEY…7.5.

Could easily have been demotivated after being shunted out of the first team picture but Comley showed he has got plenty to give and was tidy in possession.

LLOYD ISGROVE…7.

Some classy touches in the first half, where he was a constant out-ball for the Bolton midfield. Wisely withdrawn with Sheffield Wednesday in mind.

JOSH SHEEHAN…7.

Never had to shift into top gear but played some delicious passes which will have given Evatt some food for thought.

NATHAN DELFOUNESO…7.

After missing an early chance, you wondered if this would be his night. But he opened the scoring and looked like the Delfouneso of old in the second half.

ELIAS KACHUNGA…6.5.

Alive to the ball and tidy in possession but didn’t get himself in too many positions to really hurt Liverpool and was swapped at the break.
