WANDERERS have parted company with midfielder Brandon Comley.
The Montserrat international has terminated the remainder of his contract at the University of Bolton Stadium, which was due to expire in June.
Comley was signed on a free transfer in the summer of 2020 after leaving Colchester United and started seven of the Whites’ first 10 games in all competitions last season.
He dropped out of the side after a 3-3 draw at Barrow and made just one more start, against Newcastle’s Under-21s in the Papa John’s Trophy.
His only appearance for the club this season was against Liverpool’s Under-21s in the Papa John’s Trophy.
He was not included in the squad for Tuesday night’s final group game against Rochdale, where Wanderers booked their place in the second round with a 3-0 win.
Comley was also left unregistered by the club at the end of the previous transfer window, which means he can sign for a new EFL club in January or one outside the league immediately.
In total, Comley featured 15 times for Bolton, including nine starts.
