DENNIS Politic says he is yet to hear from Wanderers whether he will be recalled from his loan at Port Vale next month.
The 21-year-old playmaker scored twice for Vale in their FA Cup second round win at Burton Albion at the weekend, but minor fitness issues have prevented him from being a regular starter for Darrell Clarke’s side.
Bolton own injury crisis has raised the prospect of Politic being recalled next month. The loss of Josh Sheehan for the season plus the decision to allow Antoni Sarcevic to leave for Stockport County has left Ian Evatt without some of his more creative attacking players.
Politic has experience at League One level but is currently enjoying his loan spell in the Potteries, which has brought five goals in 12 appearances so far.
“We don’t know what’s happening yet,” he said after the Burton game.
“I know Bolton have an option to recall me back in January. We’ll see what happens.
“I am enjoying my time here so far. I am trying to give my best for the team every time I come on the pitch.
“The staff and the players have been unbelievable with me since the day I joined. Also, I’d like to thank the away fans for supporting us in such big numbers – and thanking them for the song they have made for me!”
