FIRST: Johanna McManus was first lady at the Heaton 5k on Sunday
WINTRY weather did not deter hardy Lostock AC members last weekend as several braved the cold to take part in parkrun events.
Regular competitors Rachel Hancock and Suleman Badat took part at Bolton parkrun with the latter storming home in second place overall in 19mins 58secs.
At Haigh Hall parkrun, Matt Carney (23:18), Gareth Pratt (23:36), Johanna McManus (25:07) Sinead and Ian Burns (28:29) also flew the flag for Lostock with some great consistent performances.
On Sunday, not content with a great parkrun the day before, McManus roared on to finish first female and sixth overall at the Heaton Park 5k, running a brilliant 23:33.
