WANDERERS are set to sign Jon Dadi Bodvarsson on a free transfer after the Icelandic international came to an agreement on the remainder of his contract with Millwall.
Bolton have been in negotiation with the 29-year-old for a few weeks and initially looked to loan him until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move.
But Millwall are looking to make signings of their own, their situation made more urgent with the news that striker Tom Bradshaw is out for 12 weeks with a knee injury.
Bodvarsson was one of the squad’s top earners but was out of contract in the summer and a deal has now been done to sever ties completely with The Den to sign a contract with the Whites.
Wanderers had also enquired about his services in the summer, along with Sheffield Wednesday, but the player had hoped to extend his career in the Championship.
