JAMES TRAFFORD…8.

After getting an assist for Charles’s opener Trafford was a virtual bystander until late in the second half when he made a great stop from Clarke.

GETHIN JONES…8.

Defended stoutly and linked up effectively with Fossey on the right, producing a fine cross for the third goal. Just so important to the side.

RICARDO SANTOS…8.

Took about 15 minutes to get his mind into the game, after which he barely gave the dangerous Stewart a sniff of the ball. Imperious.

GEORGE JOHNSTON…8.

The boy loves a slide tackle. Seized on any loose balls around the penalty box and always looks happy to step out into midfield with the ball.

MARLON FOSSEY…9.

Didn’t score and only got a direct assist for the sixth – but the Fulham loanee absolutely tore Sunderland to shreds all afternoon.

KIERAN LEE…8.5.

Yes, he should have scored the early chance created by Fossey, but he bagged another goal and just oozed class on the ball. No-one got near him.

MJ WILLIAMS…8.

This was more like it from MJ. Always in the thick of it and heavily involved in the build-up to Charles’s second goal.

AARON MORLEY…8.

Has that remarkable ability to have time on the ball, no matter where he is operating. Some excellent exchanges with Afolayan.

DECLAN JOHN…8.

Since the shift in formation, the Welshman has come into his own. His goal against a club which effectively ignored him would have been oh-so-sweet.

DION CHARLES…8.5.

Must be a nightmare to play against. Always chasing, never still. And when Wanderers needed a clinical finisher, up he stepped again.

DAPO AFOLAYAN…8.5.

Classy touch in his goal celebration and one of many on the day. The Star Man really does blow your mind in this type of mood.
