WANDERERS (3-4-1-2)

JAMES TRAFFORD…7.

Made a big stop early in the game from Marquis and otherwise did the basics well. Already showing improvement in his short time at Bolton.

GETHIN JONES…5.5.

Had to keep an eye on Lincoln’s most effective attacking player, Scully, and ultimately should have cleared danger before the equaliser.

WILL AIMSON…7.

How would Wanderers cope without Santos’s pace, power and distribution? Pretty well, actually. Aimson lets absolutely nobody down when called upon.

GEORGE JOHNSTON…7.

Took his goal really well and summed up a newfound confidence at set pieces. Got forward when he could to support his wing-back.

MARLON FOSSEY…6.5.

Possibly the first signs of fatigue from Fossey who had some good moments in the first half but seemed to be catching his breath a bit at times.

AARON MORLEY…7.5.

Really pushed Wanderers forward when possession was becoming a bit stale. Considering he is just 21, a mature display in midfield with a great passing range.

MJ WILLIAMS…6.5.

Really came into the game in the second half after being lost in the mix early on. Got on the ball and exerted his authority by the end.

DECLAN JOHN…6.

Had to be withdrawn because of a back injury. Had been doing quite well up to half time and hopefully won’t be a major issue.

DAPO AFOLAYAN…6.

Maybe a touch of fatigue creeping in, but not quite as sharp on the ball as he was on Saturday, in a condensed final third. Worked hard out of possession, though.

JON DADI BODVARSSON…6.

Like Afolayan, didn’t enjoy the best day on the ball but made sure his work-rate did not drop as a result.

DION CHARLES….6.5.

Quiet early on as he struggled to find space against Lincoln’s low block but grew into it and went close on a couple of occasions.

Subs: Sadlier 7.5, 46 (for John) – Did exactly what was needed in the second half.

Bakayoko 7, 60 (for Bodvarsson) – Another goal and plenty of graft.

Dempsey 73 (for Afolayan) – Created the third with his direct running.

Not used: Amaechi, Thomason, Baptiste, Gordon.

Lincoln City (4-2-3-1): Griffiths; Norton-Cuffy, Jackson, Poole, Bramall; McGrandles, Bishop; Whittaker, Maguire; Scully; Marquis.

Subs: Hopper 77 (for Marquis), Cullen 83 (for Whittaker) Not used: Wright, Sanders, Florini, Sorensen, Robson.

Referee: Sam Allison 5/10 – The game was never allowed to flow, which was a shame because there was hardly a foul of any note.

Attendance: 14,841
