MARLON Fossey has shared an update on his recovery after his loan spell at Wanderers was cut short by injury.

The 23-year-old impressed after joining the Whites on loan from Fulham during the January transfer window.

He made a big impact at wing-back, getting one goal and five assists in 16 League One appearances.

Fossey returned to his parent club after suffering a torn meniscus during last month’s 1-0 defeat against Plymouth.

Now, he has shared a video of him running on an Alter-G treadmill on his Instagram page.

The Bolton News:

Gethin Jones and Kieran Sadlier have both filled in at wing-back in Fossey's absence, while Ian Evatt toped to switch to a back four against Sheffield Wednesday over the weekend.

The Bolton boss has spoken about wanting to sign the 23-year-old on a permanent deal over the summer.

Fossey has another year left on his current deal with Fulham and has already indicated that he wants to move on at the end of the season.

The London club look set to win promotion back to the Premier League, which would likely make opportunities even harder to come by.

Speaking in February, Evatt said: “Marlon is someone that we’d love to take permanently and there have already been discussions there, so we feel like we are in a good place.

“The more he plays and how well he is doing at the moment, people are going to highlight him as a potential for the future, but we really like him.

“We love his attitude and we love what he has done so far, but there is still a long way to go.”
