DAPO Afolayan was named Wanderers’ Player of the Season at the club’s End of Season Awards at the UniBol.

Nine awards were handed out in total, with Afolayan claiming the top prize for his performances since the start of the campaign.

The former West Ham also received the Top Goalscorer Award after finding the net 14 times in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Ricardo Santos won the Players’ Player of the Season Award following an impressive season at the heart of defence.

And Dion Charles received the Goal of the Season Award for his stunning strike in the 1-0 win at Shrewsbury back in January.

George Johnston won the Young Player of the Season Award following a promising first season with Wanderers.

The Team Performance of the Season Award went to the memorable 6-0 win against Sunderland – the Whites’ biggest win since their move to the UniBol.

Simon Marland, who is stepping down after 22 years of service, received the Lifetime Achievement prize.

And Geoff Williams received the BWitC Community Champion of the Year Award, while Amadou Bakayoko was also awarded for his community efforts.

The event took place in the Premier Suite at the UniBol and there was also a three-course meal and entertainment for those in attendance.

Ian Evatt’s first-team squad and coaching staff were all in attendance and received a warm welcome on arrival. Chairman Sharon Brittan was also present for the event.

Evatt addressed the crowd prior to the awards, with director Nick Luckock and club chaplain Phil Mason also making speeches.
