YOUNGSTERS from the North West Warriors martial arts centre in Bolton enjoyed another successful trip to the WKU British Championships and World Qualifers recently.

A 25-strong ASG UK Warriors team returned with 13 Championship belts, eight silvers and 11 bronzes with the majority of the squad qualifying to compete at the WKU World Championships in Cardiff in October.

The fight squad had been training for the event for three weeks solid, everyone training three classes per week under the tutelage of Paul Smith and daughter Danni who run the Vale Street centre with Paul’s partner Janice Smith - with some topping up their training with private sessions and squad trainings.

All world championship places will be finalised with a series of GB squad trainings held at the HQ training centre in Dudley.

Paul and Danni are both former multiple world and British champions, who take pride in passing their knowledge on to their team.

In more than 18 years of the club, in excess of 100 have gone on to compete and world and national championships.

The club runs classes for youngsters from as young as two years upwards, giving every age the opportunity to get involved with martial arts.

The centre is open six days per week with more than 30 classes per week.
