PREPARATIONS for next season are well underway and Wanderers have already made their first signing of the summer, bringing in Jack Iredale on a free transfer.

Ian Evatt has previously hinted there could be several new additions during the summer as the Whites aim to push for promotion back to the Championship.

Bolton had success in the loan market last season, with James Trafford and Marlon Fossey becoming important members of the side during the second half of the campaign.

There is now a gap to fill in attack following the departures of Hamburg loanee Xavier Amaechi and Nathan Delfouneso.

Here are eight attackers who could be available on loan next season

Abdallah Sima (Brighton)

Brighton brought in Senegal international Abdallah Sima from Slavia Prague for a reported £7million fee last summer.

The young attacker spent the season on loan at Stoke in the Championship but only played a handful of times due to a series of injuries.

Sima might benefit from a season in League One and could make an impact for Wanderers if he can get back to the form he showed in Prague.

Jonathan Rowe (Norwich)

Jonathan Rowe has shown promising signs for Norwich in recent months following several cameos off the bench.

However, the winger is yet to make his first start for the Canaries and could be open to a loan spell as he continues his development.

The Whites also have Lloyd Isgrove still to come back into the squad but would perhaps benefit from another option out wide.

Jaden Philogene-Bidace (Aston Villa)

Aston Villa’s Jaden Philogene-Bidace also spent time on loan at Stoke over the past season, making 11 appearances in total as the Potters finished 14th.

Steven Gerrard will now decide whether the 20-year-old will stay at Villa Park or head out on loan again next term.

Philogene-Bidace would also bolster Evatt’s wing options as the Whites aim to continue their climb up the divisions.

Lewis Dobbin (Everton)

Lewis Dobbin has been around the first-team picture at Everton at times this season after impressing for the Under-23 side.

The young forward made five substitute appearances in total, most recently in an FA Cup tie against Boreham Wood back in March.

Dobbin is highly rated at Goodison Park and would add further depth to Wanderers’ already strong frontline.

Chem Campbell (Wolves)

Wolves’ Chem Campbell made his Premier League debut last month, coming off the bench in a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle.

The 19-year-old winger has caught the eye for the Under-23 side, scoring nine goals over the past season.

Manager Bruno Lage has spoken highly of Campbell and he could be a good candidate for a loan move next season.

Dara Costelloe (Burnley)

Dara Costelloe joined Burnley from Irish club Galway in January 2021 and has been regularly involved for the Clarets’ Under-23 side this season.

The 19-year-old can play both as a striker and out wide, which means he could be effective in a variety of systems.

Costelloe also scored twice in a 3-0 win against Wanderers’ reserve side in the Lancashire FA Senior Cup back in March.

Lee Harkin (Wolves)

Lee Harkin has also impressed for Wolves’ Under-23 side after overcoming an injury earlier in the season.

The 18-year-old recently signed a new deal at Molineux and can play across the front line, which would arguably make him a good fit for Wanderers.

Isaac Westerdorf (Newcastle)

Newcastle added Isaac Westerdorf to their youth ranks back in January following a successful trial period.

The young forward caught the eye while playing for non-league side Barking and has been described as a “fast and powerful striker”.
