Marlon Fossey has denied a report claiming he is set to join Championship side Rotherham.

The Fulham wing-back impressed while on loan at Wanderers during the second half of last season.

Fossey made the right-wing back spot his own, getting one goal and five assists in 16 League One appearances.

However, his time in the North West was cut short after suffering a torn meniscus in the 1-0 defeat against Plymouth.

Gethin Jones and Kieran Sadlier filled in at wing-back during the final weeks of the campaign in Fossey’s absence.

Last week, The Bolton News revealed that the Whites had ended their interest in the 23-year-old.

Wanderers have since brought in Liverpool and Northern Ireland right-back Conor Bradley on a season-long loan, who was a top target for Ian Evatt in the Janaury window.

Bradley becomes the club’s third signing of the summer after Jack Iredale and James Trafford.

Fossey has now seemingly ruled himself out of a move to the Millers following their promotion to the second tier.

"I was wondering why people were congratulating me on my ‘move’... This tweet isn’t true,” he wrote in his Twitter page.

Fossey has a year left on his contract at Craven Cottage and has also been linked with a move to Wigan in recent weeks.
