Wanderers will face Watford in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the Hornets’ London Colney training ground on Tuesday, July 12 (KO 3pm).

Watford were relegated from the Premier League last season and have since appointed Rob Edwards, who guided Forest Green to the League Two title last term.

The sides haven’t met since February 2015 when the Hornets edged a seven-goal thriller despite goals from Adam Le Fondre and a Zach Clough brace.

It will be the second game against Championship opposition for the Whites as part of their pre-season preparations, with a home fixture against Huddersfield also coming up next month.

Ian Evatt’s men also have matches against Longridge Town, Chorley, Stockport County and Carlisle before the new season gets underway.

Meanwhile, the newly-launched B Team will take on Atherton Colls, Bamber Bridge, Southport and Warrington in preparation for the upcoming campaign.

The new side has been launched in an attempt to bridge the gap between youth and first-team football and will be headed up by Matt Craddock, with assistance from Andrew Tutte.

New signing Gerald Sithole is one of several players who have been recruited for the B Team, with the likes of Adam Senior and Finlay Lockett also set to be involed.

The Bolton squad are currently away on a week-long training camp in Portugal but head to Longridge on Tuesday night (KO 7:45pm).

Tickets will be sold on the gate and are priced at £10 for adults, £7 for concessions, £5 for ages 12-18 and £2 for juniors.
