HORWICH youngster Blaize Tingle continued his impressive form in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) by winning double gold in Belgium last weekend at the Pan-European Championships.

The 10-year-old did not stop there, either, as he travelled straight back to compete in the Somerset Open on home shores - winning another gold medal double.

Blaize is already a British and European wrestling champion and is now aiming to become the world’s best.

Before the worlds, he has a shot at more glory in the upcoming Northern Open and the his dream is to compete in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Pan American Championship in Florida against the very best in his age group.

That competition is organised by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

Blaize wrestles at his club, Aspull Warriors, and has done well at the English and Northern wrestling championships already in previous months - only taking the sport up two years ago.

He has also been invited to compete in Helsinki in December - the second biggest competition.

But Florida is the big aim for the talented youngster who also does Muay Thai and plays rugby.

Mum Jayne has set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds to take Blaize to Florida and anyone who would like to donate can do so by visiting the page at https://gofund.me/bf0b04bc.
