Horwich youngster Blaize Tingle continued his run of success with double gold medals at the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Junior World Championsships last weekend in Wolverhampton
The 10-year-old has had a medal-laden few weeks and saw that form go on in the Black Country.
The GI event opened the competition last Saturday with Blaize entering the Under-42kg section, though he ended up weighing in well under at just 39kg, against many competitors at least 12 months older.
The division saw Blaize with a bracket of 15 opponents to navigate through.
There were some tough rolls in a hot and sticky venue but the youngster still managed to secure gold.
The following day, Blaize was registered in the higher U44kg weight category - after celebrating the previous day’s success with a relative feast on Saturday night.
But even after a big breakfast, he still only weighed in at 39.7kg.
The No GI had a smaller bracket of just six competitors compared to the day before but Blaize still came out on top to make it a double golden weekend by winning every single match he had.
Now the youngster is preparing for his biggest test to date - the largest BJJ competition in the world - the IBJFF Pan Ams in Florida, USA.
