Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman has played at the highest level both domestically and on the international stage.

At just 26 years of age, the winger has already been part of title-winning squads in Germany, France and Italy.

He also represented the French national team at the European Championships last summer, featuring in the group and knockout stages.

Coman is currently preparing for the upcoming Bundesliga campaign as he enters his eighth year at Bayern Munich, who he joined from Italian giants Juventus.

In an interview with ESPN, the wideman revealed a surprising affinity towards Wanderers from his youth.

When asked who he would pick if he had to support a team in the UK, Coman said: “Bolton… I liked this team when I was young.”

Coman’s age suggests he might have grown up watching the likes of Jay Jay Okocha, Ivan Campo and Youri Drorkaeff turn out for the Whites under Sam Allardyce.

Wanderers enjoyed a successful spell under Big Sam, finishing sixth during the 2004/05 campaign and qualifying for Europe.

Several Bolton fans shared the surprising video on social media, with Charlie Sweeney writing: “Well that’s a shock, get him over for a game!”

Tom Molloy added: “We are just absolutely massive aren’t we”, while Lion of Vienna Suite wrote: “Coman is a Wanderer!”

The Frenchman could be in action on Friday, August 5 when Bayern Munich kick off their campaign with a trip to Eintracht Frankfurt.
