Conor Bradley says the Wanderers squad are relishing tomorrow’s trip to Ipswich as the new League One season gets underway.

It is a tough start on paper, with the Tractor Boys tipped as early favourites for promotion after bringing in the likes of Marcus Harness and Freddie Ladapo over the summer.

But Bradley is up for the challenge as he hopes to get his first taste of League One football after joining on loan from Liverpool.

"It will be a good test for us but we are all looking forward to it. We are all eager to go,” said the Northern Ireland international.

“Obviously, it’s going to be a difficult game and the first game being away as well makes it even harder, but they will be a good footballing side.

“They like to press as well so it will be a tough game. They are quite similar to us in the way they want to play.”

When asked who has helped him settle in at Wanderers, Bradley added: “Probably Traff (James Trafford).

“Obviously, we are a bit similar as we both came on loan. He has been really good, he is a nice lad.

“Gethin Jones as well helped me settle in, just the way we want to play football. He has helped me settle in and tell me what he wants and what is expected from a wing-back.”

Bradley played at the UniBol for the first time against Huddersfield last weekend and is excited to experience the atmosphere over the coming season.

“I’ve been told the fans are unbelievable and I got a glimpse of them last week at Huddersfield,” he said.

“It was really good and I just can’t wait to see as many fans in here as possible for the first home game.”
