Wanderers goalkeeper James Trafford has been named in the League One Team of the Week following an impressive display in the 1-1 draw against Ipswich.

The Manchester City loanee made two fine saves during the second half to deny Lee Evans and Sam Morsy as Ian Evatt’s men held the Tractor Boys in front of more than 25,000 home supporters.

Trafford picked up where he left off last term, having made a big impact at the UniBol since his arrival during the January window.

And the England Under-21 international looks set to be a big player for Wanderers in the coming months after extending his stay for a further season.

Former Bolton defender Ryan Delaney also makes the team after impressing in Morecambe’s goalless draw with Shrewsbury over the weekend.

The 25-year-old made 27 appearances for the Whites before leaving the club in 2021 after failing to agree fresh terms.

Wycombe, who head to the UniBol on Saturday, had four players named in the team following a comfortable 3-0 win against Burton.

Gareth Ainsworth’s men finished sixth last season, narrowly missing out on promotion after losing out against Sunderland in the play-off final at Wembley.

Peterborough pair Jonson Clarke-Harris and Joe Ward are also included following a 3-2 victory at Cheltenham on the opening day.

Sheffield Wednesday's Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Forest Green's Regan Hendry and Port Vale's Connor Hall complete the line-up.

League One Team of the Week: Trafford, Wheeler, Hall, Delaney, Jacobson, Dele-Bashiru, Hendry, Scowen, Mehmeti, Clarke-Harris, Ward
