Wanderers returned to the UniBol with an emphatic 3-0 win against Wycombe, but which players stood out?

JAMES TRAFFORD…6

Couldn’t give the goalkeeper a higher score simply because he had so little to do thanks to a solid display by the defence in front of him. Again showed his ability to start a counter-attack with clever distribution.

GETHIN JONES…6.5

Defended well and looked bright on the overlap when the opportunity to get forward provided itself. Early days but looks like an exciting partnership is brewing with Bradley on the right of defence.

RICARDO SANTOS…7.5

Dominant display by the Bolton skipper, who won countless headers against a Wycombe side who look to put crosses into the box at every opportunity. Good luck to any strikers who try to run at him one-v-one!

GEORGE JOHNSTON…6.5

Another bright showing from the young defender, who seems to be reaping the rewards of his hard work in the gym over the summer against physical attackers. Also loves getting forward and joining the attack at times.

CONOR BRADLEY…7.5

Another promising showing from the Liverpool loanee, who did well to create the opening goal with a brilliant run. Loves getting forward at every opportunity and also isn’t afraid to put in a tackle when needed.

MJ WILLIAMS…6.5

Solid display by the Welshman against a side that posed a physical threat. His role isn’t always glamorous, but it allows the likes of Kyle Dempsey and Aaron Morley to push forward and create chances in the final third.

AARON MORLEY…7.5

Another impressive performance from the youngster, who showed composure to slot past Tyla Dickinson on the stroke of half-time. You could be mistaken for thinking he had years of League One experience under his belt.

JACK IREDALE…7.5

Very promising debut for the former Cambridge man, who looked lively going forward and also defended well when called upon. Ian Evatt now has a big selection headache over the left-wing back spot.

KYLE DEMPSEY…8.5

The midfielder has had a tough start to his Bolton career due to a series of niggles but showed what he is capable of with a superb display against the Chairboys. Took his goals well and also played a big role in Wanderers’ attacking play with his tireless running in behind.

DAPO AFOLAYAN…8

A reminder of just how good the former West Ham is, particularly when driving at defenders. He showed quality throughout, including a sublime assist for Morley, and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself.

AMADOU BAKAYOKO…7

Made a positive impact on his return to the side, causing the Wycombe defence problems with his physicality. On another day, might have ended up with a couple of goals for his hard work.

Subs: Bodvarsson 70 for Bakayoko

Sadlier 81 for Bradley

Kachunga 81 for Afolayan

Thomason 89 for Dempsey
