Wanderers boss Ian Evatt is embracing his selection dilemmas following Lloyd Isgrove and Josh Sheehan’s injury comebacks.

The pair both played 60 minutes as the B Team kicked off their Central League campaign with a 1-0 win against Fleetwood Town at Poolfoot Farm.

Former Wolves youngster Conor Carty got the decisive goal during the second half, finding the bottom corner with a ruthless finish after combining with Max Conway.

It was Sheehan’s first appearance since suffering a ruptured ACL injury in an FA Cup tie against Stockport County last November.

Meanwhile, Isgrove had been out of action since re-injuring his hamstring in another Central League match against Fleetwood back in March.

Evatt is pleased with what he saw from the pair on their return to action and is looking forward to having them back in the first-team picture.

“I thought they both did really well. Izzy looks like he’s really over that hamstring injury,” said the Bolton chief.

 “When he came back last time and the recurrence, he didn’t look like he was moving as freely as what he is now. 

 “Josh, he’s a really talented player. He needs to not beat himself up that he’s not the Josh Sheehan right now that he was when he got injured, but he’s been out nine months and that’s the first game he’s played.

“The sharpness and the quality will return with time and games. But he’s going to be a really important player for us.

 “I’m looking forward to it. I’ve got plenty of paracetamol, I’m ready for these [selection] headaches!”

Evatt’s men are back in League One action on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Sheffield Wednesday to the UniBol (KO 3pm).
