WANDERERS (3-5-2).

JAMES TRAFFORD…6.

Didn’t have many saves to make, other than clearing his own defender’s clearance off the line. Perhaps a little slow with some of his distribution when urgency was needed.

GETHIN JONES…6.

In common with many of his team-mates, his use of the ball was not quite as crisp as normal. Dealt quite well with what Wednesday offered in attack, though.

RICARDO SANTOS…4.

Back after suspension, the skipper looked on point for the opening half hour – but then one poor back-pass later, his afternoon went south. Needs to pick himself up quickly.

GEORGE JOHNSTON…6.

Outside the mad five minutes, had a sound enough game. Like Jones, his passing did not zip as it normally does.

CONOR BRADLEY…6.

Was the main outlet in the first half and caused problems for Wednesday. After missing the big chance, the game turned on its head and the youngster’s impact diminished.

AARON MORLEY… 5.

Usually the man in the middle, directing traffic, Morley was rather bypassed for much of the match. His set pieces were unusually wasteful, too.

MJ WILLIAMS…6.5.

Quite happy to chase and scrap for the ball, Williams was one of the few Wanderers who stood his ground on a difficult day.

KYLE DEMPSEY… 5.5.

Worked hard and got into some decent positions but the final touch or pass just wasn’t there.

JACK IREDALE…6.

Worked the keeper with a decent free kick in the second half and kept trying to get himself forward but struggled to make it count.

AMADOU BAKAYOKO…5.

Didn’t get much change out of an organised and powerful Wednesday back three. One early glimpse of goal but very little else.

DAPO AFOLAYAN…5.5.

Drifted around looking for a way into the game, never really found it. One shot from the edge of the box. Just not his day.

Subs: Charles 62 (for Morley) – Good to see him back but didn’t get into it. 5.

Bodvarsson 62 (for Bakayoko) – Did make a difference, used the ball well. 6.

John 78 (for Iredale) – Tried to add a bit of bite on the left.

Sadlier 78 (for Bradley) – Sensed his frustration at the end.
