Wanderers’ B Team continue their Central League campaign against North West neighbours Blackpool this afternoon.

The fixture takes place at Bamber Bridge’s Sir Tom Finney Stadium and kicks off at 2pm.

Matt Craddock’s side kicked off the campaign with a 1-0 win at Fleetwood Town last week thanks to Conor Carty’s second-half strike.

Josh Sheehan and Lloyd Isgrove made their injury comebacks last week and will again be involved against the Seasiders.

Summer signing Eoin Toal is also set to feature as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury, which he played through during his final appearance for Derry City.

“Josh, Lloyd and Eoin will play in the B Team game tomorrow. They need some more minutes,” said Wanderers chief Ian Evatt.

“I don’t think too much longer but they need some more minutes before they are ready to step into the first team.

“I am excited. It is going to be a good challenge and a good test to see how we select the team, how they do and how well they come back really.

“I was pleased with their comeback in the B Team last week and hopefully they will progress again tomorrow.”

Supporters are welcome to attend the fixture and admission is free. Blackpool are set to name a line-up featuring a mix of youth and experience.

The Whites brought in several young players during the summer to link up with the B Team including Carty, Connor Stanley and Nelson Khumbeni among others.

The new team was launched in a bid to bridge the gap between youth football and the first-team picture at Wanderers.

Craddock’s side also have matches against Huddersfield Town and Wrexham in the coming weeks, with home fixtures again being played at the Edie Davies Academy in Lostock.
