LIFE at Wanderers might soon be even sweeter for Conor Bradley now his best mate is on board.

The Liverpool loanee has made an electric start at Bolton, scoring his third goal of the season in Saturday’s 3-1 win against Charlton Athletic.

But Bradley’s share of the headlines might soon be shared by another Anfield prospect, Owen Beck, who arrived on loan last week.

“It’s brilliant to have Owen here,” said the 19-year-old, who provided an ninth-minute equaliser at the UniBol. “We have been best pals since I went to Liverpool, so obviously him coming here is great for me. I am sure he will start playing as soon as possible.

“He knows me well, so that will make going into the dressing room a bit easier, and I am sure the lads will love him as well.”

Bradley did not think twice about recommending Bolton to his Liverpool team-mate, who had been on loan in Portugal for the last six weeks.

“He gave me a little call to say Bolton were interested but he had been watching the games anyway,” the Northern Ireland international explained.

“Bolton have been brilliant with me so far, they have helped me in every aspect. It has been a great move for me.

“Liverpool think the same as I do – just keep going, see where it takes us. Ian Evatt says Beck’s lack of recent competitive games mean he will have to improve physically before he is thrown into the cauldron of League One.

Bradley can attest that the demands are high – but he believes his best mate will quickly catch up.

“I don’t think he will be too bad. He has played a couple of pre-season games in Portugal. “He is a great lad and he works really hard, so I am sure it will be no time at all before he gets back and is playing for us.

“It has been difficult at times. When you play Saturday and Tuesday it can be quite demanding on the body, especially with it being my first time out on loan. That recovery really is key.”
