Lincoln have been handed a boost on the injury front ahead of Saturday’s League One clash with Wanderers.

The Imps welcomed summer signing Danny Mandroiu back to training earlier this week, manager Mark Kennedy confirmed.

The 23-year-old is yet to make his competitive debut after joining from Shamrock Rovers back in July.

Speaking earlier this season, Kennedy said: “Danny was in the middle of a season and has had his pre-season quite unique, because obviously the Irish league is a summer league. But he has also been out for quite some time.

“It is great that he has got his base and foundations because it is very difficult when you miss pre-season to catch up on everyone else, so that is a big plus.

“But we have to be careful with him because he has been out for a considerable bit of time.”

However, Ted Bishop is unavailable for Saturday’s trip to the UniBol due to injury and faces a spell out of action.

The midfielder has scored four goals in his last four matches, including a brace in the 2-2 draw against Fleetwood Town last month.

Jacob Davenport is also sidelined after suffering an injury in the recent Papa John’s Trophy fixture against Doncaster Rovers.

The 23-year-old joined the Imps over the summer following his release by Blackburn Rovers after a four-year stay at Ewood Park.

Lincoln are currently 12th in the League One table, having picked up 13 points from their opening nine matches.

Kennedy’s side also had no fixture last weekend after their clash with MK Dons was postponed due to international call-ups.

Wanderers recorded a 3-1 victory when the sides met at the UniBol back in February thanks to goals from George Johnston, Kieran Sadlier and Amadou Bakayoko.
