Moussa Diallo featured as a trialist as Wanderers’ B Team suffered a 4-0 defeat against Blackpool in the Lancashire FA Senior Cup, The Bolton News can reveal.

Diallo moved to the UK around four years ago and came through the ranks at National League North club Farsley Celtic.

He also had trials at Premier League side Brentford and Championship outfit Barnsley before signing for Mousehole over the summer.

The Frenchman has already got on the scoresheet several times this season, including a brace against Falmouth Town.

Diallo has been described as “an exciting winger” and was used in an attacking role alongside Conor Carty against Blackpool.

He played 63 minutes before making way for Finlay Lockett, but chances were hard to come by against a well organised defence.

Lloyd Isgrove also featured on the right, playing the full 90 minutes as he continues to build up his sharpness following a lengthy injury lay off.

The Welshman made his first team comeback against Tranmere Rovers in the Papa Johns Trophy last month.

He looked lively during the second half, beating his man on several occasions and also going close with a glancing header.

Brad Holmes bagged a brace for the hosts, with Alex Lankshear and Grant Ward also on target as Wanderers exited the competition.

Matt Tweedley went closest for the Whites, sending a low drive narrowly wide of the post after a good run.

Lamine Toure’s towering header also appeared to have crossed the line but the centre-back was judged to have been in an offside position.

Matt Craddock's side are back in action against Lincoln City Reserves at the Eddie Davies Academy on Tuesday, October 11 (KO 2pm).
