Wanderers boss Ian Evatt faces a reunion with former club Barrow in the Papa Johns Trophy last 32.

The Whites enter the game in high spirits following a late 2-1 win against Fleetwood at the weekend thanks to goals from Conor Bradley and Dapo Afolayan.

Meanwhile, Barrow recorded a 3-1 win against Hartlepool in their last outing and currently sit fourth in the League Two table, having won 11 of their opening 19 fixtures since the start of the campaign.

Evatt’s men made it to the last 16 last season but missed out on a place in the quarter-final following a 1-0 defeat at Hartlepool United.

When and where is the game being played?

The tie takes place tonight at the University of Bolton Stadium (KO 7:45pm). Wanderers have only faced Barrow three times in their history, with a record of two wins and one draw.

Evatt’s men recorded a late 1-0 victory when the sides last met at the UniBol in February 2021, with Shaun Miller scoring in stoppage time.

The Whites’ other win against Barrow came in an FA Cup tie in 1991, with Tony Philliskirk getting the decisive goal.
