WANDERERS (3-4-1-2).

JOEL DIXON…5.5.

Could have well done without the mistake which led to the first goal. Did plenty of things right but is blotting his copybook too often on his infrequent appearances.

EOIN TOAL…7.5.

First 90 minutes for Wanderers and an impressive one at that. Showed a good turn of pace, used the ball well and got himself involved, defensively.

RICARDO SANTOS…6.5.

Won’t be pleased to have conceded from a set piece but generally sound, and nearly grabbed a goal in the second half after shooting from distance.

JACK IREDALE…7.

Moved to centre-half, Iredale fizzed a few lovely passes around the park. Looks like he has emerged from the difficult patch of form he was in a few weeks back.

KIERAN SADLIER…7.

New dad provided plenty of quality from the right early on and while he was not able to gtab his customary cup goal, he gave Ian Evatt something to think about.

MJ WILLIAMS…6.5.

His pass for Afolayan’s opener was as sharp as you like. Midfield was a hectic place to be at times but Williams held his own on his return to the side.

KYLE DEMPSEY…N/A.

Limped off after 20 minutes with an ankle injury, which really summed up his awful luck in a Bolton shirt so far.

JOSH SHEEHAN…6.

Didn’t really get the chance to put his stamp on a fast-paced game but was economic in possession.

DECLAN JOHN…6.5.

Linked up well on the left and got himself into some good, advanced positions. A rare outing, but an encouraging one.

DION CHARLES…6.

The urgency was there – and that is definitely a step in the right direction for the Northern Ireland international. All he needed was for the ball to drop to him in the right areas.

JON DADI BODVARSSON…6.5.

Made the second goal look like an easy finish when it was anything but. Six goals in all competitions now for the Icelander, who looks in the mood for more.

Subs: Afolayan 8, 21 (for Dempsey) – Buzzing after Saturday, and it showed.

Kachunga 7.5, 63 (for Charles) – Deserved the goal as reward for the graft.

Bakayoko 6, 63 (for Bodvarsson) – Flew in Monday but didn’t make much of a dent.

Lee 73 (for Sheehan), Bradley 73 (for John).

Not used: Johnston, Beck.

Barrow (4-2-3-1): Farman; Warren, Ray, Canavan, Brough; Foley, Neal; Whitfield, Walters, Kay; Gordon.

Subs: White 46 (for Neal), Stevens 83 (for Kay), Moyo 89 (for Waters) Not used: Lills, Nwabuokei, Kenlock.

Referee: Rebecca Welch 5/10 – Barrow’s fans might have offered a lower mark. Welch gave some odd decisions and missing the foul on Afolayan set the tone.
