Wanderers’ busy schedule continues as they take on Gary Caldwell’s Exeter City in League One action.

The Whites enter the game on the back of a 4-0 win against Manchester United Under-21s in the Papa Johns Trophy last 16 on Tuesday night, with Dapo Afolayan, Aaron Morley, Amadou Bakayoko and Conor Bradley all on target.

Ian Evatt’s men currently sit fifth in the League One table and will be aiming to build momentum heading into the busy Christmas period.

Meanwhile, Exeter are 13th in the table and drew 1-1 against Sheffield Wednesday in their last outing. The Grecians thought they had done enough to secure all three points before Callum Paterson equalised in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

When and where is the game being played?

The fixture takes place at the University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday afternoon (KO 3pm).

Exeter recorded a 2-1 victory when the sides last met at the UniBol back in May 2021, with Pierce Sweeney scoring the winner at the death.

There have only been two meetings since the Whites’ last win in the fixture – a 4-1 victory at Burnden Park in March 1993.
