Nathaniel Mendez-Laing opened the scoring before Conor Hourihane doubled the hosts’ lead after the break.

Substitute Kieran Sadlier pulled one back with a clinical strike in the final stages but it wasn’t enough for Ian Evatt’s men.

Outmuscled, Derby physically stronger and bigger throughout the team. We have some scrappers like Dion but no-one that physically dominates except perhaps Santos.
