Wanderers’ unbeaten run came to an end following a 2-1 defeat against promotion rivals Derby at Pride Park.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing opened the scoring before Conor Hourihane doubled the hosts’ lead after the break.
Substitute Kieran Sadlier pulled one back with a clinical strike in the final stages but it wasn’t enough for Ian Evatt’s men.
Here is what Bolton supporters have said about the match on social media
Beaten by a better side, write it off and bounce back on Tuesday night! #bwfc

Our squad is looking significantly weaker with the losses of Bakayoko, Dapo and the loss of JDB. The club have to invest in another forward or else our play off place could be in trouble. #bwfc

We need to bring in at least two attacking players before the window closes, look very light in that department. Currently this squad looks a lot worse than at the start of Jan #BWFC

Transfer window will make or break this season

Not a surprising result today. Their strikers are the finished articles and ours are works in progress but that’s down to our budget. Still in the play off mix up #bwfc

Blows my mind how Sadlier doesn’t play more. Affects virtually every game he plays in #bwfc

Need to address the problem of not showing up away from home. #bwfc

Fair play to Derby for making it tough on the day we weren't really at the races.

Well done to the 3000 away fans today.
Chalk off as one of those games and kick on to Tuesday night
Outmuscled, Derby physically stronger and bigger throughout the team. We have some scrappers like Dion but no-one that physically dominates except perhaps Santos.

Beaten by a much much better side who will go up!

No complaints.
We move on to Tuesday… #bwfc
Every team has off days, today was ours. Some more winnable games coming up to cement play off spot. Gonna take time for us to adapt with 3 new players in the team too #bwfc #dcfc https://t.co/DQMqyduD6Z
