WANDERERS (3-4-1-2).

JAMES TRAFFORD… 6.5.

Another clean sheet to add to the collection. Did not have a lot of saves to make – his best coming after an offside flag – but kept things tight after a bad day at Pompey.

EOIN TOAL… 5.

A rare mis-step for the Northern Irishman, whose radar was off for most of the game. Toal had plenty of the ball but didn’t use it well.

RICARDO SANTOS… 7.5.

Did well in a watchable battle against Stockton and produced two stunning clearances at full stretch in front of his own goal. Big performance from the skipper.

LUKE MBETE… 6.

Back in the side, he showed a little more adventure to push into midfield and defended well enough one-on-one. Couldn’t make things click on the ball, though.

CONOR BRADLEY…5.5.

Always willing, always working hard, yet the end product has been lacking for a few games now. A big test for the young defender.

AARON MORLEY… 6.

Tried hard to get himself in the game, dropping impossibly deep at times to get himself on the ball and move Bolton forward.

JOSH SHEEHAN… 5.5.

Struggled to find space on a small pitch in a hard-hitting midfield. Like his midfield team-mate Morley, the Welshman could not get his natural game going.

DECLAN JOHN… 5.5.

Morecambe were getting plenty of joy down his side, especially in the first half. The wing-back linked up a little better in the second half before being brought off.

KYLE DEMPSEY… 6.5.

Faced with a barrage of abuse from the home fans, Dempsey gradually claimed control of midfield. A few better decisions around the penalty box and he could have been a matchwinner.

DION CHARLES… 7.

Ran himself to a standstill trying to hassle mistakes out of the Morecambe back line. Never really got a big chance to add to his goal tally.

SHOLA SHORETIRE… 5.5.

Is the Manchester United youngster suited to this role alongside Charles? The jury is out. It worked at Charlton and might have done again if he converted the early chance.

Subs: Kachunga 6, 65 (for Shoretire) – Added energy but got nothing from the officials.

Nlundulu 73 (for Sheehan), R Williams 81 (for John).

Not used: Jones, Dixon, Lee, Thomason.

Morecambe (4-2-3-1): Ripley; Love, Rawson, Bedeau, Melbourne; Shaw, Gibson; Weir, Crowley, Hunter; Stockton.

Subs: Simeu 78 (for Rawson), Gnahoua 85 (for Hunter), Mayor 85 (for Crowley), Watts 90 (for Weir).

Not used: Smith, Cooney, Austerfield.

Referee: Oliver Langford – 5/10: Seemed indecisive for long spells of the game, his whistle on a five-second delay. It was a physical game but it felt as if Bolton got the rough end of the stick.
