The Bolton News:

“I’ve worked really hard and put a lot of work in.

“I boxed to a high level as an amateur so I knew this opportunity would come, and I’m grateful to be in such a big show.

“When I first walked into a boxing gym, I knew then I was going to become a professional boxer, I was hooked.”

Manchester fighter, Arthur, will fight the heavy-handed Braian Suarez, live and free-to-air on Channel 5 from 10pm.

Arthur, who is with Wasserman Boxing, says defeating the dangerous Suarez would put the ‘King of the North’ at the top of the pile.

The Bolton News:

He is looking to catapult himself above his domestic light heavyweight rivals by winning the vacant IBO world title.

Arthur said: “Suarez is a good fighter who has good power and I’m excited to see what he brings.

“My focus is only on Suarez and winning the IBO title. After Friday night, I will speak about those other fights that have been mentioned.

“I’m excited and I’m nervous in a good way, getting the ring is just my job.”
