Versatile wideman Matt Grivosti has returned to Warrington Town following his release by Wanderers.

Grivosti joined the Whites’ B Team ranks last summer and made a number of appearances in the Central League over the past season.

The 20-year-old also had loan spells at Yeovil and Radcliffe in the non-league pyramid to continue his development.

He was one of several Bolton youngsters released this summer along with Adam Senior, Connor Stanley, Mackenzie Chapman and Lynford Sackey.

Grivosti had an impressive spell at Warrington prior to joining Wanderers and has now returned to Cantilever Park for the upcoming season.

Mark Beesley’s side are preparing for their first season in the National League North following promotion from the Northern Premier League top flight.

Beesley excited to Grivosti for the upcoming campaign and hopes returning to WA4 will help the youngster rediscover his best form.

“We knew there was an opportunity for someone to come into the squad in that forward area and Matt fits the bill,” he told The Warrington Guardian.

"He’s an exciting player that can play either side or through the middle. He scored a lot of important goals for us during his first spell and it got him his move to Bolton Wanderers.

"From there, he probably didn’t have his best season out on loan and he knows that.

"But we feel we can get the best out of him and get him back to the levels he was at two years ago.

"He’s one that fits the bill with us – he’s young, keen and eager to learn so he fits the ethos of what we want in the forward areas of the pitch."

Warrington kick-off their pre-season schedule with a trip to Prescot Cables on Tuesday, July 4. The National League North fixture list will be revealed on Wednesday, July 5.
