It's officially pre-season and Wanderers are officially playing football again this Saturday!

Yes, it doesn't seem like five minutes since we dried our eyes at Oakwell and said goodbye to James Trafford and Conor Bradley - but the new campaign is here, and The Buff is ready to go again.

This week has been all about the Twitter rumours. Marc and Henry go through the good, the bad and the downright ugly of social media and wonder what life would be like if they just switched it off?

Will Forrester has signed in from Port Vale. The centre-back's role at Bolton is discussed, as is the possibility that Japanese second division players could soon be plying their trade at the Toughsheet. Possibly.

The lads discuss the weird and wonderful things they have seen in pre-season down the years, including alligators, a family of trialists and the bad guy from Ghostbusters 2.

We got through all the week's headlines in The Bolton News, and your emails on cup competitions and the whereabouts of Bright Amoateng.

Remember, it isn't just a podcast, it's The Buff Podcast. And we're here every Friday.

If you want to get in contact with the show, please email thebuffmail@gmail.com or tweet Marc on @MarcIles and @Henry__Hewitt

And please, please leave a review. We work hard to put these episodes out every single week, in-season and out, and the more feedback we get, the better the product. Having said all that, we are currently only accepting five-star ratings, as all the other ratings are broken.
