Lostock Athletics Club’s Johanna McManus headed to Newcastle to take part in the iconic Great North Run and joined 60,000 people on the start line in Newcastle for the half marathon.

In the very hot weather, McManus decided to enjoy the atmosphere of the race and the spectators and completed it in an impressive 1hr 51mins 53secs.

Closer to home, Lostock held a joint race with Cutacre Running club consisting of a 5k run around Cutacre Country Park and members put in a fabulous performance.
