Four Lostockers took part in the Central Lancs Grand Prix Radcliffe AC Multi -Terrain 5k race around Philips Park last Saturday and performed well.
The challenging short race started from outside Sedgley Park RUFC’s training ground, heading downhill towards the M60 bridge.
The run followed the River Irwell, before sharply turning into Philips Park - climbing back towards the rugby club.
First home for Lostock AC was Janet Rhodes in 25mins 33secs for second in her age category.
Next over line was Tony Maxwell, in 25:53, closely followed by Jo McManus, in 26:06, and Sheila Garewal, in 31:49.
The same day also saw Lostock AC runners head to parkrun.
Martin Smith and Karen Taylor headed to Haigh where Smith ran 30:12 and Taylor 33:09.
Mark Shuttleworth headed over to Peel Park, in Salford, and completed the course in an impressive 23:52.
Elsewhere, Lostock AC’s annual cycle weekend took place with 14 members taking to the roads on their bikes - touring for three days exploring Penrith, Hexham and Carlisle.
