Nathan Baxter and Ian Evatt have been nominated for the League One Player and Manager of the Month awards respectively for November.

Baxter started all four league games last month and didn’t concede a single goal as Wanderers equalled a club-record for successive clean sheets set in 1900.

The goalkeeper made a couple of vital saves during the first half of the goalless draw against promotion rivals Oxford at the Kassam Stadium.

He now faces competition from Northampton striker Sam Hoskins, Wigan winger Jordan Jones and Peterborough wideman Kwame Poku.

Hoskins scored three goals in as many games, including the winners against Cambridge and Blackpool.

Meanwhile, Jones’ deliveries produced three assists and he managed to get on the scoresheet Fleetwood.

Poku also had plenty of joy in the final third, bagging a brace against Cambridge as well as scoring against Wigan and Burton.

Baxter has made a big impact since his arrival at Bolton in the summer, filling the void left behind by England Under-21 international James Trafford.

Moreover, Evatt is looking to win the prize for the second month in a row after overseeing victories against Shrewsbury, Blackpool, Exeter.

The Whites’ form saw them end the month at the top of the table after gaining ground on Portsmouth.

The Bolton boss is now up against Northampton’s Jon Brady, Stevenage’s Steve Evans and Derby’s Paul Warne.

Northampton picked up maximum points after victories against Burton, Cambridge and Blackpool to climb up the table.

Stevenage took 10 points from four games in November, beating Wycombe, Lincoln and Fleetwood in the process.

Derby also had a strong month, overcoming Barnsley, Bristol Rovers and Port Vale to break into the play-off places.

The winners will be announced on Friday, December 8 and the judging panel features former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Don Goodman and Ivor Davies.
