Wanderers are back on the road for their top of the table clash against League One promotion rivals Portsmouth.

Ian Evatt’s men currently sit second in the table – three points behind Pompey, who have played an extra game at this stage. Bolton have won 10 of their last 11 matches in all competitions and haven’t lost since October 7.

The Whites enter the game on the back of a 2-0 win against Port Vale in the EFL Trophy round of 32 thanks to goals from Dion Charles and Carlos Mendes Gomes either side of half time.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth ran out 3-0 winners at Northampton last time out with Paddy Lane bagging a brace and Sean Raggett also getting on the scoresheet.

When and where is the game being played?

The fixture takes place at Fratton Park on Monday, December 11 and kick-off is at 8pm.

Wanderers were beaten 3-1 when the sides met in February despite going in front through Charles early in the second half.

Evatt’s men came out on top at the Toughsheet Community Stadium a month prior, recording a comfortable 3-0 victory thanks to Charles, Kieran Lee and Eoin Toal.
