Wanderers’ League One fixture against Barnsley at Oakwell has been re-arranged for Tuesday, March 5 (7.45pm).

The match was initially scheduled to be played in October but was postponed due to international call-ups.

Bolton say ticket details for the new date will be released in due course. Ian Evatt’s men now have seven games pencilled in for March.

Barnsley currently sit seventh in the League One table, two points outside the play-off places heading into the busy Christmas period.

The Tykes were held to a 1-1 draw against Charlton over the weekend, with Corey Blackett-Taylor cancelling out Adam Phillips’ opener.

Wanderers faced Barnsley in the play-off semi-final last season, coming up just short over the two legs.

The Whites recorded a 3-0 victory at Oakwell in the league several months prior thanks to goals from Dion Charles, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Kyle Dempsey.

Meanwhile, Bolton have sold out their full allocation of tickets for the Boxing Day trip to Lincoln City.

The club had received an allocation of 1,900 tickets for the fixture and the final ones were snapped up this morning after going on sale to club members.

Evatt’s men will be backed by two sold-out away ends over the Christmas period, with tickets for the trip to Fleetwood on Friday, December 29 selling out in a matter of minutes last week.

Lincoln sit ninth in the table and are unbeaten in their last five league matches under Michael Skubala, who took charge just over a month ago following Mark Kennedy’s sacking.

Wanderers beat the Imps 3-0 on the opening day, with Jack Iredale and Victor Adeboyejo getting on the scoresheet as well as a Paudie O’Connor own goal.

The points were shared when the Whites headed to the LNER Stadium in December 2022, with Eoin Toal cancelling out Ben House’s opener.
