WANDERERS (3-5-2).

NATHAN BAXTER…6.5.

Made a really important contribution moments before the own goal and did his bit to ease any pressure Burton built up from set pieces.

WILL FORRESTER…7.

Solid return to the side for the former Port Vale defender. Used the ball well, won loads in the air, got his body in the way when he needed to.

RICARDO SANTOS…7.

Only had to put the afterburners on a couple of times on what was a pretty comfortable afternoon. Won plenty of first contacts in the penalty box.

EOIN TOAL…7.

Worked hard to ensure the visitors didn’t have a sniff. Also showed a bit of ambition pushing forward down the left and linking up with Williams.

JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…7.5.

Full of energy and got into some great positions and forced the error that ultimately won the game. He didn’t always pick the right option, mind!

PARIS MAGHOMA…6.5.

Had five shots at goal and on a different day he might have had a hatful. Covered plenty of ground for the cause.

GEORGE THOMASON…6.5.

Linked things up well from midfield but looked to be tiring towards the end, which is little wonder considering the minutes he has played recently.

AARON MORLEY…6.5.

Looked like he fancied a goal and was desperately unlucky with the free kick in the first half. Got involved on the defensive side too.

RANDELL WILLIAMS…6.5.

Didn’t quite see the same amount of traffic as Dacres-Cogley but Williams didn’t waste much possession and put in a couple of decent balls from the left.

DION CHARLES…6.5.

Inches away from turning in Bodvarsson’s cross at the end. Wasn’t his day in front of goal but the work-rate didn’t drop.

VICTOR ADEBOYEJO…8.

Looked like he had a point to prove against his former employers, never giving them a moment’s peace. All that was missing was a goal.

Not used: Blackman, Harper, Walker, Carayol, Tamen.

Referee: Darren Drysdale 5/10 – He quite simply didn’t get to grips well enough with Burton’s timewasting in the first half and that inconsistency contributed to what was a fairly odd mood around the stadium.
