Accrington Stanley stand between Wanderers and a place in the quarter-final of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

Ian Evatt’s men reached this stage following a 2-0 win against Port Vale thanks to goals from Dion Charles and Carlos Mendes Gomes.

The Whites are unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions following the goalless draw at Premier League Luton in the FA Cup third round.

Meanwhile, Accrington recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory against Salford last time out in League Two.

The Reds beat Lincoln 1-0 in the previous round, with Rosaire Longelo scoring a dramatic winner in stoppage time.

When and where is the game being played?

The tie takes place at the Wham Stadium tonight (Wednesday, January 10) with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm.

The sides met in the semi-final last season, with Elias Kachunga and Aaron Morley firing Wanderers to a memorable victory.

However, it was Accrington who came out on top in the league at the back end of last season. Former Bolton midfielder Ethan Hamilton got the decisive goal that night, while the Whites squandered a number of good opportunities at the other end.
