George Thomason is back available after missing the win against Accrington in midweek due to suspension.

The midfielder served a one-match ban in the EFL Trophy after picking up bookings against Stockport and Port Vale.

Thomason made a positive impact off the bench at Luton last weekend and could return to the starting line-up against Cheltenham.

“He has had more cards than Clintons this season,” Ian Evatt joked. “Talk about lads who are all in, fully invested and have bought into this football club and what it stands for, he is the poster boy.

“He is a brilliant young man, fully supportive of his team-mates and absolutely captain material in the future.

“He is becoming a leader and improving every game, I can’t speak highly enough of George.”

Wanderers have no fresh injury concerns following their victory at the Wham Stadium. Cameron Jerome pulled up in the second half with cramp rather than anything more serious.

“Everyone came through the game fine,” Evatt confirmed. Obviously, Cameron had a nasty bout of cramp, but that is to be expected with the limited minutes he has played so far this season. I thought it was a fantastic effort from him. We are in good shape.

“It was really important for Cameron to get that monkey off his back, I think it was a great finish. As I said, his overall performance was excellent.

“It is good for the lads that everyone has chipped in (with goals). When we had the conversations in pre-season about targets and goals, we knew that everyone would have to step up and chip in, and we have seen that so far this season.

“Credit to the players, they are applying on the pitch what we are trying to coach them do. I think there have been huge improvements in our output this season and that has to continue.

“I still think there is more to come with that, we are still missing too many key moments and decisions - we need to become more ruthless and clinical.

“When it all comes together, like Exeter, it can look pretty good. We need to do that more consistently.”

The fixture list isn’t about to get any easier, with the Whites balancing cup football with their promotion push in League One, but Evatt is embracing the challenge ahead.

“We are delighted to be involved with three competitions and we are going to give it our all in every single game we can, that is how it has to be,” he added.

“We are very fortunate to be in the position we are and we are going to enjoy it while it lasts.”
