Wanderers will host England Under-21s Euro qualifier against Luxembourg on Tuesday, March 26 (7pm).

Lee Carsley’s squad are looking to book their place in the Finals in Slovakia in the summer of 2025.

It will be the first time England U21s have played at the Toughsheet Community Stadium since September 2002 – a 1-1 draw against Yugoslavia, with Shaun Wright-Phillips getting on the scoresheet. Jermain Defoe, Jermaine Jenas, Michael Carrick and Gareth Barry were also among those involved.

The fixture could see a return to Bolton for James Trafford, who went from strength to strength during an 18-month spell with the Whites on loan from Manchester City.

Trafford joined Burnley over the summer and has been a regular starter for the Clarets as they battle to maintain their Premier League status.

The goalkeeper played a key role as England won the U21 Euros in Georgia last summer, going the entire tournament without conceding. He even saved a penalty in the final minutes of the final against Spain.

The Young Lions kicked off their qualifying campaign with a 3-0 win against Luxembourg in September thanks to goals from Liam Delap, Cole Palmer and Callum Doyle.

Tickets are now available to purchase online, in person at the ticket office or via the phone lines on 01204 328888.

They are priced at £15 for adults and £7.50 for concessions, which drops to £10 and £7.50 respectively for Bolton season ticket holders and official club members.

Hospitality is also available for the fixture in the Lion of Vienna Suite and Club McGinlay’s. Tickets for those can be booked online.
