WANDERERS (3-5-2).

JOEL COLEMAN…5.

Not helped by some of the indecision around him at times and came up with a big save at the end – but Wanderers desperately need him to click.

GETHIN JONES…6.

Came so close to winning it at the end. Defensively not bad at all but the quality of his deliveries into the box needed to be better at times.

EOIN TOAL…5.5.

Unfamiliarity seems to be playing at part in the back three at the moment and Toal is going through a rough spell. Used the ball well enough but basics were off.

JACK IREDALE…5.5.

Dug in and did some of the simple stuff well – but needed to take control and clear the cross for Charlton’s first goal and could have done better with the third too.

JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…6.5.

One of Wanderers’ brighter attacking players on the day, supplying a fine cross for Bodvarsson’s third goal. Question marks on his involvement with the third goal.

JOSH SHEEHAN…6.

Kicked from pillar to post in the first half and probably didn’t do himself justice on the ball. Came up with a killer pass for Dacres-Cogley in the build up to Bodvarsson’s leveller, though.

PARIS MAGHOMA…7.

Enigmatic at times but if he can produce more of the football we saw after half time, before his substitution, Wanderers have a real matchwinner.

KYLE DEMPSEY…6.5.

Never, ever lets Wanderers down for effort. Provided a few good crosses from the right side and caused problems for Charlton for most of the match.

ZAC ASHWORTH…6.

Came up with a superb cross for Adeboyejo’s opener but felt a bit under-used in the second half as the traffic was primarily directed down the right.

VICTOR ADEBOYEJO…6.

Great finish for the first goal but got a poke in the eye for his troubles, which led to his substitution at half time. Partnership with Collins has promise.

AARON COLLINS…6.

Finding his feet a little but you can sense there is something exciting waiting to happen. A few good touches in the first half with Adeboyejo, and more with Bodvarsson second half too.

Subs: Bodvarsson 7, 46 (for Adeboyejo) – Came up with the goods once again.

Morley 77 (for Sheehan), Jerome 78 (for Collins), Mendes Gomes 83 (for Maghoma), Ramsay 90 (for Ashworth).

Not used: Forrester, Taylor.

MAN OF THE MATCH – Paris Maghoma.

Quite a close run thing but after a frustrating first half Maghoma did more than most to turn the tide back in Bolton’s favour. His mark would have been higher if he had grabbed a second goal too.

MOAN OF THE MATCH – Two sloppy goals already conceded, Wanderers leaked a third after falling to the old footballing warning: Play to the whistle. Defend that situation, and the points were theirs to take.

MAGIC MOMENT: For a six-goal thriller, it wasn’t that thrilling. Maghoma’s strike was something else, though, and hopefully spells the start of a fresh chapter in his Bolton story.

Charlton (3-5-2): Isted; Edmonds-Green, L Jones, Thomas; Watson, Anderson, Dobson, Coventry, Small; Ladapo, Kanu.

Subs: Aneke 73 (for Ladapo), Gillesphey 73 (for Coventry), Camara 73 (for Dobson), May 86 (for Kanu).

Not used: Maynard-Brewer, Edun, Campbell.

Referee: Ross Joyce 5/10 – Gained a mark for getting to grips with the timewasting – but the official’s body language told you he knew he had got the big call wrong for the third goal. Stopping the game instantly for the Charlton keeper at the end only compounded the inconsistency.
