Horwich youngster Zander Needham has become and English Thai-boxing champion aged just 11.
Zander, from HKS Thai-boxing, was in action at the recent K-Star Show in Birmingham against home fighter, Tyler Moore.
And he won by unanimous decision after five rounds to become the English champion.
It is Zander’s second title and he has fought three times over the last three weeks.
He only took up the sport in 2020 just before the covid lockdown but is no a national champion four years on.
Zander trains at HKS, on Emmett Street, Horwich with trainer Steve Reilly, and fights at 30kg at present..
The Rivington and Blackrod High School pupil is certainly one to watch and already has a sponsor, Jenna Salmon mortgage consultants, who have paid for his shinpads, gloves, body shield, T-shirt, and hoody.
